Welcome to Stopping CAFO Pollution, an online training guide from the Michigan Chapter of the Sierra Club. However, even if you're not sure where to begin, browse through the sections below and you'll have a better understanding of where to begin your CAFO training so that you can successfully investigate and prevent CAFO pollution. This manual provides references to Michigan laws, rules and procedures throughout to give examples of how to approach this effort. Your state’s rules will differ but the Michigan examples will provide a place to start finding out how the laws apply in your state.
